Fuel and range
We plan fuel with margin, always. You calculate what the trip needs, then add reserves, then look at whether the winds aloft are helping or hurting. Weight and balance

Hot summer days at a smaller strip change how the airplane climbs and how much runway it eats. We teach students to check that the numbers work for the conditions they will actually have, not the ideal ones in the book.
