Flying High Again is a flight school at Smyrna Airport (KMQY), 25 minutes from Nashville. We have trained pilots here since 2018, and one aircraft has grown to eleven because our students become good pilots. In house DPE. Towered airport. Class C airspace next door at Nashville International. Pay as you train. That is the whole pitch.
Safety first, in the hangar and in the air. Every aircraft is hangared nightly and maintained by our own A&P and IA team. We train to proficiency, not FAA minimums. There is a difference, and you will feel it on your checkride.
Flying Lessons In Modern Planes
Whether you are building toward an airline career or just starting to explore flying, this is where it begins. You train in Garmin G1000 Diamond DA40s and DA42s and Garmin equipped Cessna 172s, the same glass cockpits you will see in the right seat later.
18 active CFIs with thousands of hours between them, and our chief instructor Phil Kuitems is an FAA designated pilot examiner, so checkrides are scheduled in house with no waitlist. Financing is available for every program, and because we are a Part 61 school you pay as you train, one lesson at a time.

When You Arrive at Smyrna Airport
Flying High Again is at 621 Fitzhugh Boulevard, Smyrna, TN 37167, on Smyrna Airport (KMQY). Once you are on Fitzhugh Boulevard, park in the lot on your left before you reach the stop sign and the National Guard gate. Look for our blue sign above the door, then call (615) 323-3123 when you get to the door and we will let you in.
